I have a secret and I’m going to be honest with you: I can’t grow facial hair. Every year Movember rolls around and every year I try to participate and grow a glorious mustache (much like my good friend Tom Selleck), but despite my attempts and constant Rogaine treatments…I CAN’T. Sweet Charity: Beauty for a Cause!
About a few weeks ago, we were privileged to be a part of Beauty for a Cause, a star-studded beauty event benefiting the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, held at the luxurious Nail Garden in Brentwood, CA. The event had an amazing turn out and was a huge success– raising awareness for various conditions, promoting the hospital and all their wonderful work, and collecting a ton of toys for the deserving boys and girls.
We were also able to work with some excellent vendors, including Mini Kittour, WEN by Chaz Dean, and Honest Tea to name a few. Each representative was fantastic and really showcased their respective companies well.
As I said earlier, the event had an wonderful turn out–even a few familiar faces from Twilight, Castle, So You Think You Can Dance and Desperate Housewives decided to pop by to show their support, drop off a toy, and get some fantastic spa services…and of course, pick up one of our Green Tea-Pistachio Cupcakes, showcased on our “Alice in Wonderland” themed table!
We love doing events like this, as we feel it is always important to give back to a community–Looking forward to our next event! Stay Tuned!!!
